The settlement Kozia Gora ( KG ) is situated in the West Pomeranian Region of the Baltic Sea ( w.Zachodniopomorskie / Poland ), between Berlin and Kaliningrad, on the express-way Szczecin - Gdansk, near Karlino town

History :
XIV century - the settlement Kozia Gora was granted by the Pomeranian Duke for the Family von Podewils as the fief.
1496 / 1498 - the settlement Kozia Gora was the point of the Mission of Peter von Podewils towards the Holy Land with the Pomeranian Duke Boguslaw X the Gratest. The Mission was full of challenge and sacrifice...
1740 - Koseeger and nearby Malanowo settlement were joint, giving to that-days Owners almost 600 ha.
Since 1818 when Kozia Gora landed in the hands of a very skilful landlord Heinrich Friedrich Podewils, the property enjoyed an extreme growth. The farming buildings were erected and the main Palace was refurbished and the neogothic ballroom was added. The years of a good weather and the skillful management made Goat's Mountain prosper.
Just before the World War II the property has belonged to the aristocratic Hedwig Soninke de domo Podewils.
It must has changed hands just before or during the war because till 1945 there were different owners: von Walldow Family.
After 1947 KG became PGR ( Polish Farming Cooperative ).
Unfortunately, during the Communist years once beautiful place was totally neglected and purposely destroyed.
After 1988 when PGR was dissolved; the devastation continued under the new ( temporary ) tenant.
Since the nowadays Owner / the Lady / bought the place, many things were done to stop the degradation; including the reconstruction of the ballroom. In the following years the Owner took care of some repairs and tried to maintain whatever was left in considerably good condition.

The Park was established in 1770 / 1780 with many exotic trees among them a few very rare ones.
There is a small river / creek called Lanoka dividing the park.
In the years of prosperity there were a water mill and a bridge connecting both sides of the park.
The layout is just picturesque as the difference in ground levels reaches apx. 15m ( creating slop towards the river and a flat area on the other side ).
